As someone who grew up in the Caribbean and as of today has still spent the majority of my life there, the name Barrington Levy speaks epic volumes. Hailed as Jamaica’s #1 singer of all time, it is impossible to deny the impact he has had on the Reggae/Dancehall scene and Jamaica as a nation. Having been a musical powerhouse driving the industry forward for the past 30+ years, Barrington is and has always been a mega-star, steadily releasing chart topping material since he broke out onto the scene. And, just in case there was any confusion, don’t be expecting this man to be giving up his hard-earned crown anytime soon.
Lucky for us Vancouverites, Barrington’s latest tour is bringing him here to perform on one of the most ridiculous sound systems Van-City has to offer, at the one and only Fortune Sound Club. You can come watch him show you how it’s done on March 14, you’d be a fool to miss this one.
