PREVIEW: LIVE AT SQUAMISH – AUG 20/21 2011

by SCENE

Wow, so apparently August is already upon us which means Live at Squamish 2011 is fast approaching! You can feel it in the air over here, literally. If you live in Vancouver then you’ve had a good chance of catching a glimpse of the festival ad in either a Skytrain station, the back of a bus or in your favourite local magazine. It’s been all over at this point, which is fantastic because if there’s one thing I like it’s a really solid concert poster. One of the most appealing things about the poster in question is of course, the letters printed on it. Things like ‘METRIC’ and ‘WEEZER’, ‘GIRL TALK’ and ‘MAJOR LAZOR’ prominently displayed. But what do all these letters mean you ask? Well ultimately it means, if you’re lucky enough to be going to this ‘Live at Squamish’ thingy, you’re in for one kick-ass weekend.

What we love here at SCENE IN THE DARK is the live experience, seeing the people who make up the bands, who create the music that shapes our entire world. So what we really care about is, the lineup. Here you go:
